Karate: Agastya is Black Belt 1st Dan – Shotokan Karate. 10+ years of Karate practice taught him perseverance and discipline.
Swimming: Varsity level swimmer at a local swim training school
Tennis: Played tennis at John McEnroe Tennis Academy Syosset, NY
Debate Club: Part of Jericho High School Debate Club for past 3 years. Participated in novice, junior varsity and varsity interschool debate competitions.
FBLA: Participated in multiple FBLA competitions and won a bronze medal in 'Ready, Set, Lead Business Competition'
History Club: Active member of history club through middle and high school. Participated in multiple competitions, including National History Day.
Agastya is a writer, blogger, debater, and the founder of "Youth for Sustainable Future," a nonprofit dedicated to promoting global sustainability. As part of his passion to give back to society, Agastya organized a 5K Run Against Cancer, in partnership with the local organization 'Desi Next'. $15K+ were raised and donated to The American Brain Tumor Association. He received recognition from Nargis Dutt Foundation.
Agastya is a two-time gold medalist at the International History Olympiad, and 2022 International History Bowl Champion and also qualified to compete in the International History Olympiad to be held in London, UK, in June 2025. He keenly follows global events and geo-politics. His passion for the subject prompted him to author a book Divided: 8 Partitions That Changed the World.
